Isabella Eve: Born 6/23/07
Isabella was born June 23rd 2007 at 7:00pm. She was 7lb 7oz and 19 1/2 in long.
She is a joy, here sisters love playing with her. Emily can make her smile more then anyone. Currently Isabella has a little bit of colic but other then that she is healthy and happy. She sleeps about 7 hours through the night which is great for me. She has precious personality, and if you smile at her she will smile back.
She looks as you can see a little like Emily, and a little like Rebecca. If you would like to see more pics go to the family photo gallary and you can save them to your computer.

Happy Birthday Rebecca 7/12/06
Happy Birthday to our little 3 year old who is growing up fast!
She is already fluent in arguing with Mommy and manipulating Daddy.
Her new favorite word is "fine" as she gives in to Mommy's wishes. She also loves to pray when she gets an ouchy and when it goes away she praises God lifts her hands up in the air and shouts, "Thank you Jesus for fixing my ouchy". She is also very excited about having a new baby brother or sister, although she is not quite sure about how it gets into Mommy's belly, so I just tell her that God puts it there. So she asks God to put a baby in her belly. One day I asked her, as she was sitting on my lap, "what are you going to do when Mommy has a baby sitting on Mommy's lap?" she said "No, the baby will be sitting on my lap" :)
When I asked her what she wanted for her birthday, she said a baby boy and a kitty cat. But instead she got a puppy, and a new baby doll. Her Grandma Nelly, Papa, and aunts got her some beautiful dresses from Old Navy, and her Uncle Johnson, and Aunt Summer got her some cool Lagos that daddy loves to play with. Then they both got a swing set from daddy and mommy. Thank you to everyone who came to her birthday and made her feel loved by her family. Now everyday she thinks should be someone's birthday, preferably hers. :)

Oh' Christmas Tree!
Oh, boy what an adventure. If you have never gone christmas tree shopping with a two year old you are missing out! Last week we went christmas tree shopping and of course looked at several toys and christmas decorations and such. I have never seen Rebecca so happy, and Emily just staring at her bewildered at why she was acting so excited. The look in her eyes when daddy picked up an entire tree with his bare hands and hoisted it onto the car was enough to put a smile on any grouch. The unending glea on the girl's face as we strolled down the toy isles. Hoping to find the perfect gift for each one. Fortunately, that will be the last time I will make the mistake of takeing them into a toystore before christmas. At first sight was the candy tempting them as we entered the store, then your eyes look forward exploring all the toys and it is kid heaven overload. The girls swilled with excitement as the darted to find something they got to have. Emily first sees a large stuffed animal and clings to it with her mind set to never let it go. While Rebecca bounces from one toy to the next unable to make up her mind. We eventually had to drag her kicking and screaming out of the store before she had a complete breakdown from the excitement. Then, finally getting home with the christmas tree the girls are exhausted and yet find more energy which is trigered by all the christmas lights and candy canes. And every morning since the girls have awaken with a squill and an OH BOY! and a WOW! I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!! By: Mommy

A Funny Little Story
Yesterday I was trying to get Rebecca to take her dirty diaper to the garbage as I always do to demonstrate how much better it would be if she used the toilet. And as always she makes a big fuss over how yucky the diaper is and grudgingly after much motivation takes the diaper to the garbage. But this time I had an idea to make the process a little less painful, instead I told Rebecca to show Emily how to throw away her diaper, and to my surprise Emily actually picked up her own dirty diaper and they both threw their own diapers in the garbage. Well Emily loved the praise that she got from her obedience and continued to do very well in disposing her diaper, while Rebecca still needed encouragement to get past the yucky idea of holding her own waste. So today I once again faced the challenge only this time Rebecca had a better idea and picked up the diaper and gave it to Emily and pointed to the garbage in the kinchen and said "tash Enly". So Rebecca is doing quite will with the idea of having a younger sibling to do her dirty work for her. So sadly my little plan in potty training Rebecca backfired. :)

Rebecca & Emily: Full Speed Ahead!!!
Can you believe it? Emily is up and walking!!! She is almost as tall as Rebecca now and is walking with her little head held high. She also has four teeth now, which you will see in pictures soon. Her favorite words are, "Oh, boy!" and "mamma", "dadda" & "goggy" (doggy). She still loves a good laugh, sometimes even when there is nothing to laugh at. She is starting to feed herself with a spoon and is doing well without her bottle. Her favorite songs are "Elmo's Song" and "Jesus Loves Me." Her favorite foods are peaches, bananas, potatos, and dirt.
Rebecca is 2 going on 10, she is a little helper who will even help clean Emily's dirty bottom. Her favorite thing to do is play outside making mud pies and feeding them to Emily. Her favorite words are, "I want" "cookie" and "oohhh nice!". Her favorite Sesame Street charactors are Elmo and the Cookie Monster, which she does a great impresson of while tackling mommy and daddy. She can now open and close doors, and thinks it is funny when she closes Emily in the bathroom. She also is a big help when putting dishes away, and stirring the cake batter.

New Family Member
We just recieved and addition to our family. Her name is Star! Star is our family dog. She was given to us by Aaron Tybo (Bethel's dad). She is a full blood australian shepherd with black, red and white markings. Emily has made a special bond with her and loves to cuddle with her, while Rebecca loves to dress her up in a flowered hat and wrap blanket's around her. I love her because she helps clean up the girl's messes after a meal. She also does a great job watching out for everyone at night as she checks each room through out the night.
